The records of the Young Men's Democratic Club of Massachusetts, founded in 1887 to foster and disseminate Democratic principles and to help elect honest men, consist of three volumes of Executive Committee records, 1887-1903, a volume (oversize) containing the constitution, by-laws, and lists of members, and an account book listing miscellaneous expenditures. There are also printed annual handbooks, 1888-1896, containing the constitution, by-laws, declaration of principles, and lists of members. Among the founders and members of the Club were: John F. Andrew, T. Jefferson Coolidge, William A. Gaston, Morton Prince, Nathan Matthews, Jr., Josiah Quincy, Charles T. Russell, and Henry M. Whitney.
